Mahr: Partnership For Gear Manufacturing In A New Dimension

Reishauer AG from Wallisellen/Switzerland and Mahr GmbH from Göttingen have entered into a close partnership: The two companies will network their machines for gear grinding and gear measurement using closed-loop processes.

Thus, two market and technology leaders are cooperating to combine the best of two worlds: on the one hand, the extreme accuracy with which the machines of the Reishauer 4.0 generation can grind gears in series; on the other hand, the flexible and reliable gear cutting and form measuring technology with the MarGear GMX 400 W from Mahr. This is intended to set new standards in gear production and offer a particularly flexible complete solution

Customers benefit from networking

“Customers will experience a new dimension in the networked production of gears with the highest precision and productivity and will benefit considerably from it,” says Manuel Hüsken, CEO of Mahr. This is because both processes – manufacturing and measurement – in themselves hold considerable potential for value creation. If the corresponding machines now also permanently exchange data via networking, this new overall process will become even faster, more efficient and more precise, thus demonstrating the Industry 4.0 possibilities of both companies. Reishauer and Mahr will present the solution to the trade public for the first time at AMB from September 13 to 17 in Stuttgart.
