Effective January 1 of this year, Mauro Marzolla, Managing Director and co-founder of DMG meccanica, entered retirement. This gives GROB Italy a new management – Chief Executive Officer Marco Debilio, Chief Executive Officer Klaus Eberts, and Chief Technical Officer Pier Paolo Villois. Mauro Marzolla will continue to be available to GROB Italy as an advisor.

Since Mauro Marzolla retired on January 1, 2022, the management of GROB Italy has been restructured. Marco Debilio remains part of the management as CEO and is responsible for Purchasing, Human Resources, and Accounting. Pier Paolo Villois is a new member of the Management Board as Chief Technical Officer (CTO). He is head of Engineering and Production. Mr. Villois worked at DMG meccanica from 2012 to 2014 as a mechanical engineer and took over the position of Technical Director at GROB Italy in 2021.

The third Managing Director and CEO is Klaus Eberts, who is responsible for Sales and Inter-Company Affairs. “I am very pleased to be able to support the further development and expansion of our young production plant,” explained Klaus Eberts when taking office. “This plant plays an important role in GROB Group, especially in view of the transformation in drive technology. I would like to thank Mauro Marzolla for his work and also for remaining available to us with his experience as an advisor.”

Klaus Eberts has held various positions in more than 25 years of service at GROB. Just one year after joining the company in 1995, he went to the U.S. for two years as an assistant to the construction manager. He then gained further experience in various functions in the Sales Department at the Mindelheim headquarters. In 2010, he was appointed Senior Manager in Sales.

Together with the father of CEO Marco Debilio, Mauro Marzolla had already founded DMG meccanica in 1992 from the spin-off of a leading Italian supplier of winding machines for electric motors and quickly established it as a renowned partner in general mechanical engineering for electric motors. In 2017, DMG meccanica was taken over by GROB and ultimately renamed GROB Italy S.r.l. in 2018.

Today, GROB Italy is one of the leading suppliers of various winding and inserting technologies in the production of stators for electric motors. Furthermore, the technologies for rotor production will be expanded in GROB’s plant in Italy. “I am happy to continue to advise the new management of GROB Italy,” Mauro Marzolla said at his official farewell. “I am particularly pleased about the positive development and the excellent prospects for the future of GROB Italy, especially since this will enable us to create additional secure jobs in the region.”

GROB Italy Receives an Award from the German-Italian Chamber of Commerce

In Italy, GROB remains true to its corporate philosophy of relying on excellent employees who were trained in-house for its personnel planning. This has already proven to be highly successful in the other GROB plants in Germany, Brazil, the U.S., and China, and is also being implemented in the Italian GROB plant. GROB Italy received an award from the German-Italian Chamber of Commerce for its dual training project “GET – GROB E-Mobility & Tool Training” and took first place in the category “higher education”. The prize is awarded for exemplary training projects by companies in Italy. The ceremony took place on December 3, 2021, at the German Embassy in Rome.
